Robert Martiniano, Treasurer

Robert Martiniano, DrPH, MPA, has lived in Troy for over 30 years with his wife Brenda, where they raised two sons. Dr. Martiniano has been active in the community for nearly 30 years, including serving on a number of community Boards. Dr. Martiniano is currently the Treasurer of the Cohoes Intermediate Baseball League, the Treasurer of the Edward C. Picken Troy High School Hall of Fame, the Treasurer of the Health Workforce Collaborative, and on the Board of the Hudson Mohawk Area Health Education Center. Dr. Martiniano was also on the Troy Independent Redistricting Commission which developed new council districts based on 2020 census data.

Dr. Martiniano is the Senior Program Manager at the Center for Health Workforce Studies at the University at Albany School of Public Health. Dr. Martiniano has an extensive background in health workforce research, survey and evaluation design, and on developing community needs assessments. He is the lead staff on developing surveys for licensed health care professionals and works with health care organizations and providers on shortage area designations and understanding state and federal service-obligated programs. Dr. Martiniano’s academic interests include understanding the impact of social networking on health care outcomes and addressing health inequities. 

Dr. Martiniano is an adjunct professor at the School of Management at the Sage Colleges, teaching courses on research methods and on strategic planning, and he has also taught at Clarkson and the University at Albany School of Public Health.
