Jamie Crouse
Jamie Crouse proudly serves as the Chief Development Officer at YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Inc. in Troy, NY. She believes strongly in the organization’s mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. At YWCA-GCR, Jamie is responsible for fundraising, communications, donor cultivation, and event planning. She joined the team at YWCA-GCR in April of 2019 and was instrumental in creating and launching their 2020 Mission Series, a collection of conversations and performances with astounding local artists, activists, and community advocates that told the story of YWCA-GCR’s work and mission. This popular and successful endeavor allowed the organization to continue to engage the community and raise funds through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and the movement for Black lives. In 2020 the organization also received their first $1M gift from the inaugural round of Mackenzie Scott’s historic philanthropic efforts. In 2021 the Albany Business Review named YWCA-GCR “Non-Profit of the Year” at their annual Achievers Awards.
Prior to her position at YWCA-GCR, Jamie was the Director of Development & Communications at the Robert C. Parker School in North Greenbush. Beginning as Planet Parker Coordinator in 2010, she developed and grew the school’s 11-week long summer program and outdoor education efforts prior to transitioning into the development position in 2017.
Jamie attended the University at Buffalo and holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies, a B.A. in Geology, as well as a M.S. in Adolescent Education from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Jamie has spent time engaged in community activism with Reimagine Troy and in support of Troy 4 Black Lives. She sits on the board of directors for Troy Foundry Theatre and serves as secretary on the Hart Cluett Museum board of trustees. She lives in Troy with her partner, two fun-loving children, tiny dog, and rotund hamster.
